I recently graduated from Luther College with a degree in elementary education (with endorsements in reading and mathematics) and a minor in mathematics. I will complete my student teaching in 1st and 4th grade this fall.
Experience
As a teacher, I value hands-on learning and frequent communication with families over their child's progress. I love working with students and seeing their progress over time. I have experience working with children in a variety of different settings. In addition to 2 years of tutoring experience, I have completed teaching practicums in 2nd - 5th grade classrooms. I have also spent the last 3 summers as lead teacher for a childcare program in my hometown and have taught private violin lessons to a number of students.
